Motto of yesterday’s lunch: Never go to itsu if you’re starving and, above all, a vegetarian.
After a total fail of a foodfest with no food of our interns meal the other day, I totally regretted not listening to Zoe’s suggestion of the Chinese Thai veggie restaurant. In the end, the best solution was to hit Sainsburys and buy a ready made 1 pound carrot soup.
There are times in your life when you find yourself lying in bed on a Tuesday afternoon, sipping from an amaretto coffee, trying to ignore the flu symptoms that you got from walking in the rain all morning, and going through this list that you made in your mind with the things that should have made your summer special. At the same time you realise that if you’d have only written it down on a piece of paper and read it every night like a prayer before going to bed.. maybe this way some of it would have come true.
I guess it’s right that we are just one phone call from our needs. Wouldn’t have taken more than that to book a place for Proms or a ticket to Peter Pan, or a little bit of will to cancel work on Wednesdays and take advantage of the Orange offer and get reduced price for Inglorious Basterds.
Plans can always be changed and still get the same results, so why not watching Proms on tv instead and waiting for the DVD to come out? Peter Pan is only on in Hyde Park until 30th August, and so far I haven’t found a way to go and see it. Who would like to live in a fairy world anyway?
In the mood for: James Morisson - Please don’t stop the rain
My own version of The Kooks’ Seaside with David and Ingrid. Still longing for a sandy beach while trapped in the office. I’m sure I’m not the only one.
