I never make promises to anyone but myself, though this time I was allowed to make use of this can of worms only if I didn’t look for the apple that’s on the other side of it. Easy choice to make since tonight I have only indulged in chocolate biscuits and special k red berries without milk on the way down from the pub after watching 500 days of summer at Cineworld. But this is a story for some other time.
This post was supposed to be about my internship and about the fact that there are only 2 full weeks left of it. And two weeks until I become Hall Senior in Wilson House. Two weeks until I have to move out and move in and make some changes in my life. Two weeks of hard work at the office, where we are still struggling to meet the deadline for the project we’re working on.
Meanwhile, we’ve launched the new website (http://euclidnetwork.eu) and I feel proud to be on the Staff list page and to be called Website Officer and Communications (instead of a common Intern title). We’re still constantly uploading most of the things and even though some of the website areas will only become available later on this month, I am pleased that our collaboration with Fatbeehive is going on well.
Just when I think that all is well when it ends well I realise nothing ever ends but it changes smoothly its state of being, remaining the same in its essence. Because I have not felt this summer to be an interrupt event, but more of a transition of what I should expect from my future…It clicked to me today when a friend asked me when I’d have some time to go over to see his new place. Shortly after I scanned through the next week’s mind agenda, I realised I’ve come to this point when I’m not able to see my friends straight away, whenever they need me, but I have to pre-schedule meetings with them, usually a week in advance.
How much planning is good planning when every decision leads to other 10 decisions? and so you get to book the whole month and feel so happy when you get to have a lazy day. Today was one of them. Thus I got to write this. And to listen to “If I were a boy” from Beyonce and think about my 500 days of summer and about the possibility of having this sort of interrupt in my life at the moment. It is just not possible. So then I have all the reasons to agree with Summer, mostly reasons like this and this, and in case the first one happens it would just take me a day to get over it and a friend’s arms to cry in for the night and to not be asked about my feelings. It’s not like I wouldn’t have things on my agenda to ocupy my mind with once the morning comes.

Have you ever got that itchy sensation with the fall of first leaf, when you’re feeling you’re missing out on something..? On something that used to be too familiar for you to notice it, too comfortable for you to take it into account, a sort of freedom that let you do whatever you wanted, whenever you felt the need, and barely ever you had to pay for it. that feeling of summer.
Two thirds of holiday are gone now and there are only four weeks to come until the start of the new year. As I always measure time in school years, and treat each September with a particular touch of some sort of geeky weird rituals that only a religious madman could have, I would draw a circle in sand and go on and on around its edges to make time stand still.
So summer could be here forever.

“Artists including Basement Jaxx and Fatboy Slim to launch annual Oxjam festival.Oxfam will host a series of concerts in one of its London shops to promote its campaign against climate change.
The charity has announced that singers VV Brown, Just Jack and Nitin Sawhney, indie rock band Editors and DJs Fatboy Slim and Basement Jaxx will play to about 150 fans at the as yet unnamed shop to mark the beginning of the charity’s Oxjam music festival, which will run throughout October.
An Oxfam spokesman said details of the venue for the gigs, which will take place between 28 September and 1 October, would be released later this month. Oxjam involves thousands of locally organised fundraising music events across the UK. It has raised more than £1m for the charity since 2006. “

It was such a lovely sunny day for London. And as I’m writing this, I can see the wind blowing outside the windows from the Library Cafe as a Cure song says something about Tuesday being so utterly gray. Brrr, if only I had a cardigan with me!
However, the beginning of the week was indeed fun. Fun & so random. I met my friend Arjun after searhing for him for more than an hour in the crowd. Who would actually decide on a place of meeting just in the middle of a carnival? He came with his friend who promoted this r’n'b singer that i’ve heard nothing about, but it didn’t take them too long to convince me to wear one of their blue t-shirts so I could be part of the promoters. Plus, I got sweets for free. he he
Here’s a snapshot from the festival,with Arjun’s friend and a professional photographer who was stalking me stalking other people with my camera. It wasn’t that creepy since he told me and I asked him to send me the photos :)) Oh, and apparently Arjun takes credit for making me look pretty in here. But I say he has no reason to take credit for :))
